Your Botanical Sketchbook

I'd love to encourage everyone joining the Monthly Botanical Watercolour Class to bring along a watercolour sketchbook.

Throughout the year it will become your own personal record of the changing seasons, filled with monthly botanical paintings, quick five-minute studies, colour experiments, seed heads, leaves and all those little details that catch your eye between classes.

This is the sketchbook I'll be using throughout the year, and all of the monthly tutorials have been designed with this paper in mind.

During class I'll also be sharing simple sketchbook ideas and demonstrations to help you gradually build your own beautiful botanical journal.

If you'd like to use the same sketchbook, you're very welcome to pre-order one here.

It will be waiting on your table ready for you when you arrive at your first class in September. You'll also receive a folder to keep your printed botanical workbooks and any loose paintings throughout the year.

You're equally welcome to bring your own sketchbook if you already have one. The only recommendation is that it contains 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper, as this will give results that are most similar to the demonstrations during class.

I can't wait to watch everyone's sketchbooks grow over the course of the year into a beautiful collection of paintings, ideas and memories inspired by the seasons.
