Have you ever wished you could slow down, really look at the flowers around you and capture them in watercolour?

The Botanical Sketchbook Club is a monthly workshop designed for those who simply love flowers. Whether you're a keen gardener or simply enjoy painting them, this class is about taking the time to observe, appreciate and celebrate the beauty of each season.

Each month we'll meet for a relaxed three-hour workshop, focusing on one flower that's blooming in my own garden. Together we'll paint a complete botanical watercolour, taking our time to understand the flower, build gentle layers and enjoy a more in-depth tutorial than our weekly Creative Core classes.

What to Expect

Every month you'll receive a beautifully printed botanical workbook to take home, including:

A step-by-step printed tutorial with photographs.

A full-size tracing sheet.

Reference photographs.

A photograph of my finished painting.

Colour swatches showing the palette used.

Botanical notes about the flower, including how it grows, what conditions it enjoys and interesting facts about the plant.

At the back of every workbook you'll also find space dedicated to your own garden, allowing you to record what's flowering, gardening jobs for the month, plants that have done well, ideas for the future and your own observations throughout the seasons.

Your Botanical Sketchbook

I'd encourage everyone joining the class to bring along a 300gsm botanical watercolour sketchbook, which will become your own personal botanical journal.

Each monthly tutorial will be completed in your sketchbook, gradually building a beautiful collection of botanical paintings throughout the year.

Between classes, I'd also encourage you to use your sketchbook for quick five-minute studies from your own garden. A newly opened flower, a seed head, an interesting leaf, fading petals or even colour notes can all become part of your botanical journal.

Throughout the year I'll also share simple ideas for these quick observational sketches, helping you enjoy painting little and often.

A Year of Flowers

By the end of twelve months you'll have created:

🌸 Twelve finished botanical watercolour paintings.

📖 Twelve botanical workbooks full of painting guidance and botanical information.

🌿 Your own garden journal, documenting the changing seasons.

🎨 A botanical sketchbook filled with observations, studies and memories from throughout the year.

More Than a Painting Class

The Botanical Watercolour Class is more than a monthly watercolour workshop. It's a welcoming space for anyone who enjoys flowers, gardens and creativity.

Each month brings the opportunity to paint together, share gardening experiences, exchange ideas and celebrate the changing seasons with others who have a similar passion for flowers.

Whether you're an experienced gardener with years of knowledge to share, have recently discovered a love of gardening, or simply enjoy painting flowers, you'll feel right at home.

Conversations often extend beyond painting techniques to favourite plants, new discoveries, what's flowering in the garden, seasonal jobs and ideas for the months ahead. It's an opportunity to learn from one another while building confidence in both painting and botanical knowledge.

The aim is to create a relaxed, friendly community where flowers, gardens and watercolour come together, leaving each month with not only a finished painting, but fresh inspiration for both your sketchbook and your garden.

Whether you're an experienced gardener or have only just discovered the joy of flowers, you're warmly invited to join me as we paint our way through the seasons, one flower at a time.

Reserving Your Place

Once you've joined the Botanical Sketchbook Club, your place will automatically be reserved for the following month. You'll always have first refusal before any remaining spaces are released.
