Seafoam & Sand
A gentle, calming watercolour project designed to help you slow down, relax, and simply enjoy the process of painting.
Using a minimal colour palette, we'll explore the beauty of sea and shore through loose washes, soft blending, and a wonderful new technique we haven't used in class before. By building subtle layers and textures, you'll create the illusion of rolling foam, wet sand, and the quiet movement of the tide.
Lady of the Meadow
In this session, we’ll be taking a fresh and interesting approach to painting a delicate bouquet of meadow flowers, focusing on loose techniques that bring life and energy to your composition.
A special highlight of this tutorial is the use of metallic watercolour paints, adding gentle movement and a subtle shimmer to the flowing dress—bringing your painting to life with light-catching details.
For the first time, we’ll also begin by establishing the form early, helping you build confidence in structure while still working in a relaxed, creative way.
" Gilded Courage"
Create a powerful lion using loose, expressive watercolour techniques. We’ll focus on flow and movement, allowing edges to softly bleed while building depth and energy through layered washes. Finished with gold metallic highlights, this piece captures strength, light, and presence with a beautifully fluid style.
" balancing Act" Paint a charming field mouse gently balancing on a tulip, using a simple, loose watercolour style. We’ll combine ink and watercolour to create a bold, eye-catching tulip, while keeping the mouse soft and expressive.
