"Bridge Talk" with Lesley Tuesday 26th of May 10-14.00
A relaxed and creative afternoon combining storytelling, photography and painting.
Join local bridge enthusiast and photographer Lesley Bett for a fascinating talk exploring some of Scotland’s most beautiful and historic bridges. Lesley will share her photographs, personal experiences and the stories behind the bridges she has visited across the Dee, Don and beyond.
After the talk, enjoy sandwiches, tea and coffee in the studio before creating your own bridge artwork using ink, pen and watercolour.
This workshop is focused on atmosphere, texture and expressive mark making rather than perfect detail.
You’ll be guided through ways to simplify shapes, create dramatic arches and use loose watercolour washes with ink line work to bring your bridge to life.
You are welcome to:
• work from Lesley’s bridge photographs
* bring your own bridge reference images
* create a realistic or expressive interpretation
Suitable for all abilities, including beginners.
