Expressive Life Drawing 27th of May Wednesday Evening 17.30- 20.30
Expressive Life Drawing Workshop 27th of May Wednesday Evening 17.30- 20.30
Join us for a relaxed and expressive drawing workshop focused on atmosphere, storytelling and connection through art.
This special session will be led by Mrs Potts, a wonderfully creative artist who attended Gray’s School of Art and brings a warm, encouraging and expressive approach to drawing. As a friend of Rebecca Kerr and someone local to the village, she creates a welcoming environment where artists of all abilities can relax, experiment and enjoy the process.
Throughout the workshop, our sitter for the session, Mrs Graham, will model in a beautiful flowing dress and sun hat, creating elegant poses full of movement, character and atmosphere. The session is designed to inspire expressive sketching, mark making and loose observational drawing rather than rigid perfection.
Perfect for artists wanting to loosen their style, build confidence and enjoy a slower, more intuitive way of creating.
During the session we’ll explore:
expressive line work
gesture and movement
mixed media and mark making
atmosphere and storytelling
confidence through loose sketching
creating expressive studies rather than perfect realism
All abilities are welcome, including complete beginners.
Tea, coffee and sandwiches are included, allowing for a relaxed and sociable studio atmosphere throughout the day.
Held at: Kerr Soverall Art Studio
Kirkton of Skene, Aberdeenshire
