Acrylic Workshop " A Guiding Light"
A Guiding Light
Expressive Acrylic Workshop
Date: Sunday 8th March
Time: 10:00am – 1:30pm (with a break)
Location: Kerr Soverall Art Studio
Canvas 12x16
When the weather is wild and the days feel long and grey, sometimes all we need is a little light to guide us.
A Guiding Light is a relaxed, expressive acrylic workshop inspired by stormy seas, rugged coastlines, and the quiet reassurance of a lighthouse standing steady in changing weather.
In this workshop, we’ll explore bold brushwork, rich texture, and movement in acrylic paint. You’ll be guided step by step, but with plenty of freedom to be loose, expressive, and intuitive. This is not about painting perfectly — it’s about enjoying the process and creating something atmospheric and full of feeling.
Halfway through, we’ll pause for a cosy vintage-style tea break with finger sandwiches, giving you time to step back, relax, and return to your painting with fresh eyes.
This workshop is perfect for you if:
• You enjoy expressive, atmospheric painting
• You’d like to loosen up and explore texture and movement
• You’re curious about acrylics but want gentle guidance
• You’d love a warm, creative escape from winter weather
Beginners are very welcome. No previous acrylic experience is needed — everything is explained clearly and at an easy, supportive pace.
What’s included:
• Guided acrylic painting session
• Use of paints and materials during the workshop
• Vintage tea & finger sandwiches
• A finished acrylic painting to take home
