In this continuing artist tutorial, we’ll explore the quiet drama of a Scottish landscape...a scene that feels transitional, a little moody, and full of quiet depth. Highland Silence is about capturing atmosphere over accuracy, using earthy, muted tones to evoke calm and a sense of place.
We’ll continue working with salt techniques to create soft textures and movement across the landscape. The focus is on learning to choose what to emphasise in your painting...allowing space and suggestion to carry the mood, rather than painting every detail.
