"Highland Cow" Acrylic Workshop

Join us on Sunday the 1st of June for a relaxed and supportive acrylic painting workshop where we’ll bring a Highland cow to life on canvas. With its expressive face and flowing coat, it’s the perfect subject to learn about layering—the main focus of this session.

To help you get started with confidence, your canvas will come with the Highland cow already lightly sketched on, so you can dive straight into painting and focus on building up your colours and textures.

No prior experience with acrylics is needed—you’ll be guided step-by-step through:

• Creating base layers and working from dark to light

• Blending techniques for soft, atmospheric backgrounds

• Using different brushes to add depth and detail

• Finishing touches to give your cow character and life

We work in small, friendly groups (max 10), and all materials are provided. Tea, coffee, a fine piece and plenty of encouragement are included too.

Come enjoy a few peaceful hours of creativity, and leave with new skills and a painting you’ll be proud of.
