Beginner’s 4 Week Art Journey

Kerr Soverall Art will guide you through the wonderful world of watercolor painting with patience, passion, and personalized instruction. Whether you’ve never picked up a brush before or you're eager to refine your skills, this watercolour block will be a beautiful journey of self-expression.

Week 1: Flowers – Monday, 18th of August
We’ll start with the basics,  how to hold your brush, understanding the perfect water-to-paint ratio and allowing yourself to build confidence with each stroke. It’s the perfect foundation to build on throughout the block.

Week 2: Landscapes – Monday, 25th of August
Let’s bring nature to life. You’ll learn how to create fluffy clouds, master dry brush techniques, and discover the wonders of the fan brush. 

Week 3: Flamingo – Monday, 1st of September 
This week, we’ll dive into the beauty of birds. Kerr Soverall Art will guide you through your first tutorial, teaching you how to paint the graceful flamingo. This week’s focus will be on colour choices, blending, and creating life-like textures to bring these beautiful creatures to life on watercolour paper

Week 4: Hare – Monday, 8th of August
In our final week, we’ll pull together all the techniques you’ve learned and celebrate the joy of painting through the Hare tutorial. 

What’s Included?
All materials are provided during each class—watercolour paper, brushes, paints, and  guidance. You’ll also receive a folder to keep your artwork in and you can bring this with you each week. 

The Monday Evening Beginner block is also during continuing artist class times, giving you the opportunity to observe the rhythm of the classes and connect with more experienced artists.
