Beginner’s 4 Week Art Journey

Starts Monday, 27th October 2025

Join Kerr Soverall Art for a beautiful and inspiring introduction to watercolour painting. Whether you’ve never picked up a brush before or you’re looking to reconnect with your creativity, this four-week block is designed to gently guide you through the essentials of watercolour with patience, passion, and personalised instruction.

Over four relaxed and joyful Monday evening sessions, you’ll explore a variety of techniques and subjects, building confidence and discovering your own artistic rhythm.

Your Weekly Journey

Week 1: Flowers – Monday, 27th October
We begin with the basics—how to hold your brush, understanding the perfect water-to-paint ratio, and building confidence with each stroke. This session lays the foundation for the rest of your journey.

Week 2: Landscapes – Monday, 3rd November
Bring nature to life as you learn to paint fluffy clouds, explore dry brush techniques, and discover the magic of the fan brush.

Week 3: Flamingo – Monday, 10th November
Dive into the beauty of birds with your first guided tutorial. You’ll focus on colour choices, blending, and creating lifelike textures to bring a graceful flamingo to life on paper.

Week 4: Hare – Monday, 17th November
In our final week, we’ll bring together all the techniques you’ve learned in a joyful celebration of painting, guided by a charming hare tutorial.

What’s Included

All materials are provided during class, including watercolour paper, brushes, paints, and your own folder to keep your artwork safe. Please bring your folder with you each week.

This Monday evening block runs alongside our Continuing Artist classes, giving you the opportunity to observe the rhythm of the group and connect with more experienced artists in a welcoming, creative space.
